Vertical roller mills, on the other hand, consist of a rotating table with rollers. The material is fed through the center of the table and is ground between the rollers and the table. Vertical roller mills are suitable for grinding materials with higher abrasiveness and are commonly used for grinding raw materials, coal, and clinker. They have a smaller footprint and are more efficient in terms of energy consumption compared to ball mills.
